Geomembranes JUNIFOL PEHD used as an insulation barrier in retention basins along A63 motorway in France.
In cooperation with one of long-time partners in France, JUTA a.s. managed to secure an order for delivery of geomembranes and non-woven geotextiles for the project of construction of retention basins in the section Bénesse-Maremne_Saint-Geours-de-Maremne of A63 motorway. This transport artery, running through the South-West sector of France in the immediate vicinity of the Pyrenees and the Atlantic ocean, is undergoing a complete refurbishment and it is being upgraded to 2x3 lanes due to a really heavy traffic load (trucks from all parts of Europe passing to the Iberian Peninsula). JUTA a.s. already worked with this project‘s general contractor, Vinci (the biggest French construction company), in the past; they used our geomembranes when working on A19 motorway project (details on this project can be found here).
The project designer required for the A63-retention-basins-project geomembrane 1,50 mm thick, manufactured in accordance with French quality certificate Asqual. JUNIFOL PEHD, a high-density-polyethylene-based geomembrane manufactured by JUTA a.s., was delivered to this project in 8 m width, total installed area being almost 64 000 m2.
